On-Demand Freelance English to Spanish (US) Translator/P-E - Weekends

Hours: Weekends from Friday 5pm - Monday 7am (Eastern Standard Time)
We are seeking talented and qualified English (US) to Spanish (US) Post-Editors with experience in medical terminology, particularly in patient-facing content (e.g., AVS).
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review and refine machine-translated content from English (US) into Spanish (US)
ā¢ Improve accuracy, fluency, and overall quality of MT
ā¢ Ensure final text reads naturally, as if originally written by a native speaker
ā¢ Deliver high-quality work within fast turnaround times
Requirements:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
ā¢ A degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or
ā¢ a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating; or
ā¢ the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.
Additional requirements:
ā¢ Bilingual proficiency in English (US) and Spanish (US) (native Spanish preferred)
ā¢ Strong localization skills and cultural knowledge of both source and target languages
ā¢ Experience with medical terminology in the US market (patient-facing content such as AVS)
ā¢ Experience in post-editing machine translation (MT) and/or localization
ā¢ Familiarity with MT and LLM technologies
ā¢ Proficiency in CAT tools, especially memoQ
Skills:
ā¢ Experience evaluating post-edited content
ā¢ Strong understanding of:
ā¢ Fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence in post-edited texts
ā¢ Raw MT output evaluation, including error identification, post-editing effort, and turnaround time
ā¢ Additional language proficiency is an asset.
