Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.The UND Department of Accountancy is seeking a Dept. Office Assistant. The person in this role will interact with students, faculty, staff, and occasionally assist the academic advisors.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStaff the front desk and provide exceptional customer service to the students, staff, faculty, alumni, and prospective students and their families Answer phone calls schedule student appointments Collaborate with faculty and staff on projects Scanning and copying documents for faculty Organize files and office supplies Shred old documents Distribute mail Assisting faculty with administrative tasks Other duties as assigned - (Essential)Required CompetenciesSelf-motivated and dependable; able to follow through on tasks with little supervisionEnthusiasticKindReliableAbility to work effectively on a teamHigh level of professionalismMinimum RequirementsStrong organizational skillsCustomer service experienceMicrosoft office experienceCommitment to maintaining confidentialityAvailable to work 10 - 15 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday.Successful completion of a Criminal History Background CheckIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
