Duties: Assess the functional capabilities of children ages 0-3 relative to their age-appropriate milestones for potential developmental delays or developmental risk factors. Provide individual home-based and virtual services for a caseload of families with a wide range of racial backgrounds, cultures, religions, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity and abilities with understanding of how their life experiences may be impacted by social determinants. Collaborate with the family to develop goals to address the child’s development that fit into their daily routines and play. Model and coach caregivers to integrate strategies into the family’s daily routines to aid in the child meeting major developmental milestones. Continuously assess the progress of your clients and collaboratively adjust the plan as needed. Identify, research, and refer families to community resources to support IFSP outcomes, address immediate family needs and support natural learning opportunities. Consult and partner with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Ensure that all events and documentation are completed within the program’s required timelines. Requirements Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts A valid Driver’s License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments. Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. Early Intervention services are provided in the child’s Natural Environments, which include the home, childcare settings and the community or other immediate environments natural the child and family’s environment. Able to get at child’s level, climb stairs, deal with weather conditions, lifting, bending and squatting.
