Occupational Medical Consulting Services

The objective of this requisition is to secure services from a third-party subcontractor to deliver on-demand consultations, recommendations, and expert opinions on occupational medical matters concerning Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) personnel. This service is intended to supplement the existing offerings of the on-site occupational medical provider and will include several features appertaining to medical services, such as ADA accommodation reviews, thereby enhancing the overall medical support available to H2C personnel.

Offering expert consultation on medical information and general medical inquiries. Providing professional opinions on injury causation. Recommending appropriate return-to-work options and strategies. Support medical reviews for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Focusing on project-specific requirements to ensure tailored solutions. It is anticipated that this “on-demand” consulting service will not be needed for more than forty (40) hours per month.

Most of the work shall be performed remotely with maybe an occasional visit to the Hanford Site for a meeting.

Must be a qualified and licensed medical professional with demonstrated experience with occupational medical services and must possess substantial and measurable experience in delivering specialized consulting services, with a strong emphasis on providing expert consultation regarding medical information. This expertise should encompass a comprehensive understanding of medical practices and the ability to offer informed, professional guidance tailored to the specific needs of the organization. A thorough understanding of relevant employment laws, such as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and applicable state and local leave regulations, is essential for ensuring compliance and accurate management of related issues.
