Nurse Paralegal (Fully Remote | Part-Time Contractor)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Nurse Paralegal / Legal Nurse Consultant to provide dedicated support to an attorney’s litigation practice. This part-time, hourly 1099 contractor role is ideal for a licensed nurse with strong clinical experience who is interested in applying medical expertise in a legal setting. The role focuses on assisting with case development through comprehensive review and analysis of medical records, preparation of medical chronologies and summaries, and support for litigation matters including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Review, organize, and analyze medical records and healthcare documentation for litigation matters • Prepare clear and concise medical summaries, chronologies, and case timelines • Identify key medical issues, treatment patterns, and potential causation or liability concerns for attorney review • Assist with case preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial • Support discovery responses, document organization, and case file management • Conduct targeted medical and factual research as requested by the attorney • Communicate professionally with the supervising attorney and internal team as needed • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive case information with discretion • Perform additional litigation support and administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications • 5 years of law firm or legal experience is required • Current or former RN or LPN license preferred • Prior experience in healthcare, medical records review, insurance, risk management, or legal nurse consulting strongly preferred • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn legal software systems Position Details • Part-time, hourly 1099 contractor position • Core availability aligned with Eastern time zone business hours • Flexible schedule based on needs • Fully remote; work performed from a home office • Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience Pay From $50.00 per hour Experience • law firm 5 years (Required) Work Location Remote Apply To this Job
