Position Type: Full-Time (40–45 hours/week)
Compensation: $110,000 Base | $182,000 Target OTE | Elite Benefits Bundle

Most small business owners make massive decisions based on feelings rather than what their financial statements are actually telling them.
We are looking for an insightful, high-EQ financial professional who can look past the numbers, connect the dots to a business owner's personal motivations, and help them make courageous growth decisions. If you think a trend report is genuinely exciting, read budget variances for fun, and have the emotional intelligence to coach entrepreneurs out of "crazy town" without taking their resistance personally—we need to talk.

We are How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm (HTM), the leading fractional C-suite provider for solo and small law firms nationwide. (No prior law firm experience required—we'll teach you the industry, just treat them like small businesses).

The Mission: What You’ll Actually Do
You will step in as the fractional CFO/Controller for a dedicated roster of up to 30 clients (gross revenues mostly under $10MM).
• Zero Sales/Marketing: We do 100% of the hunting. You focus entirely on delivery and relationship building.
• The Schedule: Completely remote. ~60 hours/month of client-facing time (via Zoom/phone) plus independent file prep and internal alignment.
• The Execution: Analyze financials to spot trends and risks, go toe-to-toe with bookkeepers to fix messy data, and deliver hard truths to the business owner with a mix of radical candor and humor.
What We’re Looking For
• The Pedigree: A strong financial/accounting background with a relevant business degree (emphasis in accounting/finance strongly preferred).
• The Battle Scars: Hands-on experience advising under-capitalized small business owners who aren't financially literate. You must be able to explain complex FP&A data in plain English.
• The Core Traits: A massive bias for growth (you know you can’t cost-cut an entrepreneur to prosperity), high emotional intelligence, and the confidence to hold clients accountable to their own goals.
