Nonprofit Program Manager - Environmental Advocacy

A respected environmental advocacy organization located in **Portland, Oregon, US**, seeks a passionate and experienced Nonprofit Program Manager to lead and execute key initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable practices and conservation efforts. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, project management, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement to advance the organization's mission. You will be responsible for developing and managing program budgets, securing funding through grant writing and donor relations, and overseeing the implementation of various environmental projects. This includes coordinating with volunteers, partner organizations, and government agencies to ensure program objectives are met effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of environmental issues, policy advocacy, and community organizing principles. Strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others are essential. You will also be tasked with monitoring and evaluating program outcomes, reporting on progress to the board of directors and funders, and identifying opportunities for program expansion and improvement. Experience in grant management, fundraising, and public relations is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for developing proposals, reports, and outreach materials.
