About the Organization

Headquartered in Oregon, with staff located throughout the Pacific West, Kelley NPC’s growing team of 19FTE offers a full suite of services to help nonprofits dream and achieve big, bold visions.

From helping nonprofits diversify and manage revenue, to launching creative technical assistance partnerships to bring federal resources to underserved communities; Kelley NPC serves as an amplifier and multiplier – helping resource providers and resource seekers align their efforts for the greatest good.

Taking a servant leadership style approach, Kelley NPC celebrates its 20th year in business this year, and is happiest working behind the scenes to provide the capacity and cohesion - from the smallest detail on a tedious federal grant to the defining strategies guiding a multi-day, 200+ person Summit - to fuel each client’s success. Kelley NPC is honored to work on projects that positively impact people, places, institutions and communities. Kelley NPC’s work primarily services two distinct but related entity types, providing:
• Support for Grantmakers & Philanthropy

Kelley NPC assists public sector, corporate and philanthropic grantmakers in developing, deploying and managing new funding initiatives to meet emerging community needs. Kelley NPC also revives existing programs to maximize impact while building enduring relationships with grantees. In addition, Kelley NPC helps grantmakers develop new application materials and guidelines, provide backbone support (e.g. data management, creating custom metrics and trackers for “head + heart” outcome and output collection, identifying and defining metrics, reviewing applications and vetting applicants - including site visits, curated communication and graphic design needs, produce custom reports and more), expand community outreach, and incorporate elements of community-led grantmaking, if and as desired. Kelley NPC also supports grantmakers with a variety of multi-sector partnerships and collaboratives, the implementation and management of technical assistance programs to support applicants, and ensuring collateral, communications and storytelling align with vision and values while reflecting impact.

2. Support for Direct Service Nonprofits

In addition to the above tailored support for grantmakers, Kelley NPC provides high quality technical assistance for nonprofits. To grow nonprofits’ capacity, ensure sustainability and support growth, Kelley NPC provides curated services for diverse nonprofits of all sizes, focus areas, and stages of development - from new all-volunteer grassroots nonprofits, to alternative schools and mainstay community institutions employing hundreds. Services include: fund development such as federal, state and foundation grant writing and award management; financial support including bookkeeping and fractional CFO services; grant and contract compliance; capital campaigns and capital project management; evaluation and impact measurement; donor support and moves management; marketing, design and communications including website building and maintenance, and social media management; strategic planning and landscape assessments; nonprofit operations, policy and procedure development, and board training and development.

Additional Initiatives & Fund Management

Kelley NPC also manages a variety of initiatives where the above two sectors regularly intersect, with a multiplier effect on the overall landscape. This includes:
• Oregon Disaster Funders Network
• Federal Readiness & Leverage Fund
• Community Rebuilding Fund
• Maui Recovery Fund
