Non-Profit Volunteer Assistant

We are looking for a Volunteer Non-Profit Assistant who can assist us 4-6 hours per week, with some weeks having a higher time commitment of around 10 hours due to the quarterly board meetings and related tasks. Reporting to the board of directors, the Non-Profit Corporate Secretary plays a pivotal role in our organization. You will collaborate closely with fellow corporate officers: President and Treasurer.

Key duties include but are not limited to:
• Documentation: Draft, review, and maintain accurate minutes of board meetings and other important corporate documents.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between different stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
• Policy Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with the organization's bylaws and policies.
• Conflict of Interest: Administer and maintain conflict of interest policies, disclosures, and processes.
• Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to the non-profit organization's corporate structure and governance.
• Note Keeping: On a quarterly basis, you'll need to attend the non-profit's board meetings. During these meetings, your primary responsibility will be to take detailed notes (minutes) of what transpires in the meeting. This is crucial for keeping a record of decisions and discussions.

Requirements:
• Education: A bachelor's degree or experience in a related field, such as business administration, non-profit management, or legal studies.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining records and preparing minutes and reports.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs and tools for record keeping and document management.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with board members and various stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $0.01 per hour
