Non Medical Emergency Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Non Medical Emergency Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing calls from coordinating responses, scheduling medical routes and ensuring that appropriate resources are dispatched efficiently. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong understanding of emergency protocols. The Emergency Dispatcher will play a critical role in schedule vehicles and drivers to meet clients transportation needs in a timely and efficient manner. Duties • Receive and prioritize non emergency medical calls from the potential clients and medical agencies. • Use dispatching software to track and assign trips • Coordination with healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with safety protocols • Dispatch appropriate emergency services such as police, fire, or medical personnel based on established protocols. • Maintain accurate records of calls, responses, for trip scheduling • Scheduling rides in various NEMT systems • Stay updated on medical terminology, first aid practices, and emergency response procedures. Experience • Previous experience in dispatching in non medical emergency services is preferred; with 1 experience is a plus. • Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and procedures is advantageous. • Proficiency in using GPS systems and GIS technology for navigation purposes. • Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with callers. • Ability to analyze situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure • Knowledge of security measures related to emergency response is desirable.
