Your Responsibilities: Core responsibility is in sourcing news in a timely fashionAdding news titles and sources to asana for writers to claim Understanding of what makes a good news title/angleMaking judgements on what is flash news vs news vs something to spike to features Ensuring news quotas are hit - understanding the times when it is appropriate to overrun, and when news can be passed on/passed to features Assigning news articles/communicating with writers on news assignments Editing news articles and prioritizing most timely edits Prepping soft/niche news for weekends Sending writer feedback/writer developmentWriting news articles when needed (especially when fastest turnaround is required on breaking news) Attending weekly team meetingOur Perks:Competitive compensation.
