As a New Business Development Specialist, you will connect with business leaders to introduce effective benefits solutions and play a critical role in booking meetings for licensed advisors. Responsibilities Identify and prospect high‑potential businesses across Canada Initiate outreach through phone and email to start meaningful conversations Qualify leads and book appointments for our licensed sales advisors Track outreach activity, follow‑ups, and outcomes in our CRM Collaborate with teammates to share strategies, improve performance, and achieve team goals Skills Experience in sales, cold calling, or business development Strong communication skills and a professional, confident presence A goal‑oriented mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment Comfort with technology and a desire to grow within a supportive, team‑based culture Accountable: You take ownership of your outcomes, positive or negative, without blaming others within the team or cross‑functionally Effective Communicator: You communicate clearly, in a positive and respectful manner, while building relationships through tact and diplomacy Organized: You invest time in upfront planning to achieve goals and objectives KPI & Metric Deliverables: You demonstrate the consistent ability to meet or exceed monthly appointment quality and call volume targets through effective planning, execution, and performance management Benefits Uncapped bonus potential with achievable targets Hybrid work model (2 days in our Barrie office, 3 days from home) Every second Friday off 3 weeks’ vacation Health and wellness programs Ongoing learning and development opportunities Company Overview GroupHealth Benefit Solutions is an insurance company that provides health insurance, employee group benefits and group life insurance.
