WORK TYPE: Full Time - working standard business hours but must be available during evenings and weekends as needed

LOCATION DETAILS: Remote United States

TRAVEL: Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & training is required. Event travel will include overnight stays for events. As part of the event operations team during the event season which runs from October thru April this role is expected to be available to work 2-3 weekends per month and attendance at select end of season events in May.

COMPENSATION: The pay range for this position is $70,000-95,000 annually, plus the opportunity to earn performance-based incentives.
The base salary will vary based on criteria such as education, experience and qualifications of the applicant, location, internal equity, and alignment with the market.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The New Business Development Advisor reports to the Director of Sales, Events but also works closely with the Division VPs for Varsity All Star Fashion. Responsible for assigned all star accounts and the sales success of the Small Gym Summit Championship. Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & trainings is required.

The New Business Development Advisor plays a critical role in establishing a trusted partnership with customers, our internal regional stakeholders and the other Sales Advisors. They will ensure their customers are getting value and satisfaction from all purchases and interactions with Varsity All Star Events and Fashion. They will interact frequently with the Director of Competition Experience, Sales and Experience Advisors and Fashion Specialist(s) to share updates and strategize about company goals and customer needs. They will be responsible for connecting regularly with regional leadership to report customer-related challenges or issues, effectively and amicably resolve those issues, and collaborate to establish changes as needed. This role is expected to gain new business and establish rapport with our customers. Revenue impact will be measured based on new account revenue growth and overall success of assigned account(s) as well as the enrollment of the Small Gym Summit Championship. The New Business Development Advisor looks for and drives opportunities for expansion within each account focusing on events and Varsity All Star Fashion.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Revenue Growth – All Star Events & All Star Fashion
Increase Varsity All Star revenue across assigned event and fashion accounts.
Identify growth opportunities and at-risk events; strengthen customer relationships to secure and expand team participation.
Drive the enrollment and growth of the Small Gym Summit Championship

Event Responsibilities
Grow assigned customer accounts by solidifying team participation and targeting new opportunities.
Conduct proactive outreach, including cold calling, to generate and expand revenue opportunities for Varsity All Star events.
Assist programs in developing a customized Varsity Event schedule tailored to their specific team needs.
Re-engage Non-Varsity and Non-USASF customers to bring them back into the Varsity event ecosystem.

Collaboration & Industry Awareness
Serve as the customer facing lead for the Small Gym Summit Championship
Support and promote V-Connect Meetings and Varsity University initiatives.
Monitor and report on competitor events and industry trends.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Varsity event and product offerings.
Use customer feedback to inform recommendations on product mix or program adjustments.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales calls and account activity.

Additional Job Functions
Evaluate, process, and communicate discount and rebate plans as needed.
Serve in a high-level management and/or support role at select events.
Participate in committees, boards, and workgroups that support business objectives.
Take ownership of a special event or event series (e.g., Small Gym Summit).

QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES ​
Strong familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
High proficiency with Salesforce.
Proven customer service and sales experience.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve unexpected customer challenges.
Capacity to assist with leadership and sales training for the Advisor team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or work experience equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years direct sales experience.
Experience in dance/cheer/performing arts is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While not participating in an event this job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
During events the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
