Work Shift: Monday through Friday (8:00AM – 5:00PM PST)

This Global Retail Company leader has an immediate long-term contract opportunity in San Francisco, CA for Network & Telephony Help Desk Specialist This position requires working onsite Monday-Friday.

Job Description

One of the country's largest retail organizations is searching for a skilled Network & Telephony Help Desk Specialist to join their IT team 100% remotely. In this high-impact role, you'll be the cornerstone of seamless network and telephony hardware/software deployments across North America, keeping store operations running efficiently. This exciting opportunity to support mission-critical network infrastructure begins as a 12-month W2 contract with 100% Remote work arrangements. • Serve as the main point of contact for network and telephony projects at North American store locations, coordinating with construction teams for new builds, deployments, and break-fix issues.
• Remotely configure and implement network and telephony systems across US and Canadian sites, including oversight of onsite technicians.
• Manage network and telephony circuit orders, ensuring timely execution and implementation with an eye on deadlines.
• Research, troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate technical issues related to networking operations; manage incident resolution and escalate as appropriate following guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with business partners, construction, store operations, and IT teams.
• Oversee vendor communications—address escalations, manage troubleshooting, and coordinate shipping/receiving activities.
• Utilize tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Smartsheet to maintain accurate inventory and status reporting; provide regular project updates to leadership.
• Navigate and communicate complex project dependencies and ensure milestones are achieved.

Skill Requirements
• At least 4 years of experience working in IT, with at least 2 years focused on networking environments (routers, switches, LAN/WAN, IP, and telephony systems such as Zoom).
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to research, identify, and resolve issues independently.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management, inventory tracking, and project coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interface across departments and with external partners.
• Comfortable managing shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and ambiguous situations; adapts readily to change.
• Motivated and self-sufficient, with a growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Previous retail or field support experience is desirable.
