The N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC, providing technology services to state agencies. They are seeking a Network Technician to provide onsite support, implementing and managing service components such as routers and firewalls, while ensuring system reliability and performance.ResponsibilitiesPerforms site surveys, assessments, and physical inventoriesWork with other analysts and specialists to resolve incidents and problemsWork with other analysts and specialists to perform changesPerforms installations of new equipment and infrastructure which may include cabling, switches, patch panel, VOIP, firewall, routers, AP’s at customer locationsInsure availability of proper equipment for site visits including tools, cables, and hardwareSkillsHigh School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of IT experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceThis position requires a fingerprint-based background search.
