Role: Network Security Engineer-PCNSE, CCNA
Location: US/Remote
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
This role will be responsible for operational support of Palo Alto firewalls and Global Protect VPN, as well as Cisco Umbrella Protective DNS
Basic Qualifications:
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field working directly with physical and virtual infrastructure
ā¢ 3+ years of hand-on experience with networking security hardware from major vendors including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Checkpoint
ā¢ 1+ years of experience deploying and supporting large-scale VPN configurations
Required Skills
ā¢ Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching, and basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols (preferably OSPF)
ā¢ Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto Network firewalls utilizing Panorama Management Server
ā¢ Experience with designing, deploying, and troubleshooting both site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions
ā¢ Extensive knowledge of ACLs, NAT/PAT, and QoS
ā¢ Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (bash, python, or powershell)
ā¢ Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Certifications
ā¢ Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
ā¢ Cisco Certification Network Associate (CCNA)
