Network Ops Center Analyst 3 - (Mainframe Operations)
About the position
U.S. Bank is seeking a Network Operations Center Analyst to monitor and manage Mainframe Operating systems and network connections, ensuring the availability and performance of critical applications. This role involves 24/7 support, incident management, and collaboration with technical teams to maintain operational efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Responsibilities
Constantly monitor Mainframe MVS operation system LPARs activity via console messages, logs, and network management system.

Develop and review Knowledge Management documentation for accuracy and participate in training peers on operational functions.
,
Create, update, and resolve all incidents via the corporate ServiceNow Tool, taking corrective action as defined in operating procedures.
,
Assist with implementing monthly/quarterly application releases and mainframe hardware upgrades and maintenance.
,
Monitor high priority incidents, alerts, and significant changes, escalating for awareness as necessary.
,
Provide support for enterprise-wide production and test environments, assisting application developers during testing phases.
,
Analyze Network Operations Center application and system events using appropriate test structures and related diagnostics.
,
Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and best practices related to Network Operations Center services.
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
,
At least 2 years of experience in a data center operating environment and production systems management.
,
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
,
Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language), HMC & System IPL's, TSO, MVS, JES, and automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins).
Nice-to-haves
Working knowledge of scheduling tools such as CA7 and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

Experience in computer operations and hardware infrastructure management.
