Network Architect - Infoblox
We are seeking an experienced Infoblox Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Infoblox platforms and a strong background in network architecture, security, and automation. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of core network services. This position is on a flex work schedule, meaning more hours may need to be put in one week and balanced with less another week occasionally. Responsibilities • Design and architect scalable and resilient DDI solutions using Infoblox technologies • Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Infoblox appliances and services • Develop and enforce IP address management strategies and governance • Integrate Infoblox with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments • Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to align architecture with business needs • Automate DDI operations using APIs, scripting (Python, Ansible), and orchestration tools • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades • Troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP/IPAM issues and provide root cause analysis • Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams Requirements • US Citizenship • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5+ years focused on Infoblox • Strong expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM concepts and best practices • Hands-on experience with Infoblox NIOS platform • Knowledge of network security principles and DNS-based threats • Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, REST APIs) • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Desired Skills • Infoblox Certified Architect (ICA) or related certifications • Experience with cloud networking and integrations (AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, etc.) • Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards • Experience in large enterprise or service provider environments
