Network Analyst I - EHRA
The N.C. Department of Information Technology serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC, providing technology services to state agencies. The Network Analyst I will be responsible for configuring and implementing network changes and providing technical support for the department's network services.ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 2 support for wide area network systems, including Metro Ethernet, L3 routing, MPLS, QoS, and Layer 2 switchingImplement new releases of service components using established change, configuration, and release management processesMaintain accurate information on all IT assets and configurationsCoordinate deployment and implementation of local area networks for state agencies and institutions requiring connectivity to the North Carolina Information NetworkDevelop provisioning, configuration, and deployment plans and coordinate with agencies throughout implementationEnsure equipment availability, correct configurations, and overall project oversightWork with service delivery staff to fulfill service requests involving provisioning of data locationsSkillsBachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institutionOR Associate degree in computer science, or a related technical field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of networking related experienceOR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of networking related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProvide Tier 2 support for wide area network systems, including Metro Ethernet, L3 routing, MPLS, QoS, and Layer 2 switchingImplement new releases of service components using established change, configuration, and release management processesMaintain accurate information on all IT assets and configurationsCoordinate deployment and implementation of local area networks for state agencies and institutions requiring connectivity to the North Carolina Information NetworkDevelop provisioning, configuration, and deployment plans and coordinate with agencies throughout implementationEnsure equipment availability, correct configurations, and overall project oversightWork with service delivery staff to fulfill service requests involving provisioning of data locationsThis position requires a fingerprint-based background search.
