NetSuite Solutions Engineer

Remote Full-time
Description
We are seeking a business-facing NetSuite Solutions Engineer to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed eCommerce organization. This role is critical to stabilizing and optimizing our NetSuite environment, particularly within finance operations.
We believe life is better in your backyard. Our eclectic team is up to any task (and happy to celebrate when it’s done). As outdoor living experts, we are the only brand that offers everything: grills, outdoor kitchens, furniture & beyond. We are obsessed with top-of-the-line quality and committed to customer service. We take out the guesswork by offering complimentary 3D design services custom-tailored to our customer’s preferences and style. Join us on our mission to deliver the very best of outdoor living.
Role Description:
The NetSuite Solutions engineer sits at the intersection of technical architecture and customer success, serving as a trusted advisor to our merchant partners and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining integrations between NetSuite and the broader e-commerce technology ecosystem — including storefronts, payment processors, 3PLs, and marketplaces. The ideal candidate brings deep NetSuite expertise, strong integration skills, and the consultative presence to lead discovery sessions, drive solution design, and manage client relationships with confidence. This role will interface regularly with merchants, product managers, engineers, and operations leaders — requiring the ability to influence outcomes and drive momentum across both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads discovery sessions with merchant partners and internal stakeholders to capture requirements and architect scalable NetSuite solutions aligned with their business processes.
- Designs, builds, and maintains integrations between NetSuite and third-party platforms (storefronts, payment processors, 3PLs, marketplaces, ERPs) using REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS tools, and custom SuiteScripts.
- Configures and optimizes NetSuite modules including Order Management, Inventory, Financials, and WMS to support e-commerce workflows and operational goals.
- Owns the full solution lifecycle — from requirements gathering and solution design through UAT, deployment, and post-launch hypercare.
- Serves as the primary technical point of contact for key customer accounts, communicating clearly and credibly across both business and engineering audiences.
- Collaborates with product and engineering teams to surface customer insights, escalate systemic issues, and inform the platform roadmap.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to leverage AI tooling to automate workflows, surface operational insights, and enhance the merchant experience.
- Contributes to internal playbooks, integration templates, and solution documentation to accelerate team delivery and ensure consistency.
- Partners with pre-sales and account management to scope new opportunities, deliver technical demonstrations, and support the customer onboarding process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Focus on real-world experience (e-commerce, implementations, stakeholder-facing roles) over certifications. Wants a “scrappy, hungry” near-architect-level profile, not necessarily a lead architect. Needs to be someone that is consultative and can work with the business and push back when necessary.
Act as a bridge between business (Finance) and engineering, translating requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions
Lead resolution of complex NetSuite issues, including current returns/P&L discrepancies tied to system implementation
Analyze and re-architect workflows, scripts, and reporting within NetSuite
Provide consultative guidance to business stakeholders; confidently challenge and push back when needed
Execute hands-on development/configuration work while maintaining a strategic, solution-oriented mindset
Partner with engineering teams while also owning delivery outcomes end-to-end
Help transition the organization to a more scalable, maintainable ERP environment
