Neighborhood resale shop seeking skilled worker!
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are searching for a part-time worker with a background in resale and who will bring their own positive energy to our community driven business.
We have over 13,000 consigners and our merchandise changes daily. Most of our repeat customers come for the bargains; however they tell us that it's the people that bring them back. The ideal employee would thrive in this highly social andfriendly environment; and would benefit from our incredibly diverse and sweet customer / consignor base.
We are hiring for 2 positions:
• A Part Time (Thurs-Sun) Clothing Department position at RERUN2, the 6940 NE Sandy Blvd. location.
• A Part time (3-4 days/week) position with flexibility to work at both locations.*
We are looking for long term, hardworking, extremely friendly, multi-taskers with strong customer service skills and previous resale experience. (please no short-term inquiries). The qualified candidate should bring to the job a strong background in resale, consignment or thrift store experience. This position is hourly and will increase in pay as the candidate acquires new skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
- Must be able to work weekends
- Moving furniture daily (must be able to lift 50 pounds)
- Greeting customers / consignors
- Answering phones / scheduling consignment appointments
- Ringing up sales
- "Pre-sorting" incoming consignment items
- Pricing merchandise
- Creating store displays and reorganizing furniture, clothing, & decor
- Maintaining store appearance: light cleaning, stocking, de-cluttering.
Skills that make for a great RERUN employee:
- Retail OR Restaurant experience is helpful
- Knowledge of or Interest in FASHION: resale values, current brands and vintage.
- Experience with or knowledge of FURNITURE, collectables, jewelry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Enjoys fast paced environment (to get through the day faster!)
- Ability and affinity for engaging with customers of all ages & backgrounds.
