Job description: Summary

Carriage House Day Care is seeking a warm, caring, and patient teacher who wishes to make a difference in the lives of young children.

We are looking for a some part time teachers to join our program. You
will encourage the health, intellectual, physical, social, emotional growth of
the children in our facility. You will teach and supervise children while also motivating
them to be creative, develop a love of learning and feel emotionally and physically safe.
You will develop a partnership with families to best serve the children's needs.

Duties

Responsibilities:
Design and follow a schedule of activities and discover age appropriate teaching materials and activities
Provide basic care and caregiving activities
Use a wide range of teaching methods (play, stories, media, outdoor games, art, music, etc) to enhance the child's abilities
Implement Classroom management strategies that guide children's behavior in a positive manner.
Establish and maintain daily communication with parents as well as, parent conferences, updates on curriculum and special classroom events.
Participate in staff meetings, workshops and special events as needed
Provide documentation of Professional Development each year of at least 1% of annual hours worked.
Complete required Care 4 Kids Health and Safety Training.

Requirements

Requirements:
Must have knowledge of child growth development and appropriate practices
Must be have the ability to plan and implement age appropriate educational programming
Must be available to work each weekday, afternoon hours (2:00/3:00pm - 6:00pm)
Must complete background checks, physical and TB test prior to starting
Must be knowledgeable of OEC licensing regulations and requirements
Must complete Care 4 Kids orientation requirement within 3 months of hire
Preference given to those applicants 18 years and older
