National Account Executive for FMCG Food Industry - Remote Field-Based Role with Career Growth Opportunities

Join a Leading Food and Drink Importer and Distributor as a National Account Executive Are you a driven and ambitious sales professional looking to make your mark in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) food industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading food and drink importer and distributor as a National Account Executive. Our client is a renowned player in the industry, working with some of the most iconic brands. As a National Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, developing key customer relationships, and expanding product ranges within existing accounts. This is a remote field-based role, requiring regular UK travel to visit customers, with a requirement to visit the Head Office in Northolt at least twice a month. Key Responsibilities Customer Relationships: Develop and manage strong relationships with key accounts, including Garden Centres, Farm Shops, and Premium Independents, to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand product ranges within existing accounts and drive revenue growth. Sales & Profit Targets: Achieve and exceed sales and profit targets through effective forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Industry Representation: Represent the business at key industry events, such as the Casual Dining Exhibition and IFE, to build relationships, promote our brands, and stay up-to-date with industry trends. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: Sales Experience: Proven success in FOOD/DRINKS sales, particularly with Premium Independent sectors, with a strong understanding of the FMCG food industry. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics. Resilience & Ambition: A driven, resilient attitude with a focus on achieving results, meeting targets, and driving business growth. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will be considered advantageous: Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of the FMCG food industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. CRM Experience: Experience working with CRM systems to manage customer relationships, track sales activity, and analyze customer data. Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and expand product ranges. Bonus: 12.5% bonus opportunity, paid annually. Car Allowance: £400 per month car allowance.
