We're searching for a skilled MySQL DBA to manage and maintain our MySQL databases. You'll collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our data infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases and related infrastructure.
ā¢ Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
ā¢ Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
ā¢ Implement and manage database security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
ā¢ Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage management.
ā¢ Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide database solutions.
ā¢ Conduct database capacity planning and scaling to meet business needs.
ā¢ Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
ā¢ Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in MySQL and related database technologies.
Qualifications:
ā¢ 5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA.
ā¢ In-depth knowledge of MySQL database architecture, configuration, and administration.
ā¢ Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
ā¢ Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
ā¢ Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and procedures.
ā¢ Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
ā¢ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
ā¢ Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL) is a plus.
ā¢ Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL Database Administrator) are a plus.
