About the position

The Music Teachers Network, a leader in private and in-home music lessons since 1997, is seeking qualified music instructors for various instruments including Guitar, Piano, Voice, and other Band & Orchestral instruments. This position offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one and online instruction to students of all ages, particularly focusing on children aged 5 and up. The ideal candidates will have a strong passion for music education and pedagogy, demonstrating patience and care in their teaching approach. The role is part-time and contract-based, allowing for flexible scheduling to accommodate both the instructors and the students' needs. Instructors will be compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $35 to $65, depending on their experience, location, and availability. Additionally, the position includes gas and travel reimbursement where applicable, making it a financially viable option for those who may need to travel for lessons. The expected workload is between 10 to 30 hours per week, with shifts typically occurring after school and on weekends as needed. This role is perfect for individuals looking to share their musical expertise while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one and online music instruction in various instruments including Guitar, Piano, and Voice.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent training.

• At least 3 years of private teaching experience in music.
