Music News Writer
Job Description: • Take 1 weekly shift and write five news stories (300-500 words each) per shift. • Assignments sent around noon on the day of writing (or on Friday for weekend writers). • Schedule drafts or publish stories on the assigned day, ensuring publication by midnight. • Weekend writers may receive assignments on Friday and schedule or draft for the weekend. • Work one shift per week (options: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday); currently hiring for Saturday. • Unpaid internship with mxdwn, an online music and entertainment magazine. Requirements: • Prior experience preferred, not required. • Take 1 shift per week (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday). • Write five stories per shift of 300-500 words each. • Receive assignments around noon on the day you write (or on Friday for weekend writers). • For weekend writers: able to start on Friday, save drafts or schedule publications. • Must publish stories by midnight on the assigned day. • Note: currently only looking to fill our Saturday slot.
