Museum Relations & Cultural Outreach Guide

Remote Full-time
Overview

Canadian Museums is a national cultural initiative connecting museums, heritage sites, and galleries through a unified digital platform. As we prepare for our 2026 launch, we are welcoming bilingual volunteers to support museum relations and help guide institutions through their final onboarding steps.

The Role (Not Sales)

This is not a sales position. Interest has already been established with hundreds of museums across Canada. Institutions have received our Founding Class materials and are familiar with the initiative. Your role is to act as a cultural liaison, helping museums complete the final steps of onboarding.

You will be the friendly, bilingual point of contact who ensures museums have the information they need — nothing more, nothing less.
Responsibilities
• Follow up with museum directors who have received our Founding Class proposal.
• Clarify simple administrative questions about registration, membership options, or next steps.
• Confirm publicly available information by phone or email when needed.
• Guide institutions through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand their options.
• Direct any complex billing questions (Interac, ETF, Stripe, etc.) to our Finance team.
• Notify the Partnerships Team when a museum is ready to proceed so we can issue the invoice and finalize enrollment.
Who You Are
• Bilingual: English required; French is an asset (Spanish also welcome).
• Articulate, organized, and comfortable speaking with cultural institutions.
• Interested in museums, heritage, arts administration, or cultural outreach.
• Professional, warm, and able to communicate clearly.
• Comfortable working independently in a flexible remote environment.
What You Gain
• Experience in National Arts Administration & Stakeholder Relations.
• Exposure to museum networks across Canada.
• Mentorship and guidance from the Partnerships Team.
• Performance bonuses for successful onboardings (optional and not tied to employment).
• Strong reference letters for your future career in the cultural sector.
Commitment
• Fully remote
• Flexible hours
• Volunteers contribute as their availability allows
