Multiple Inter-Connected Companies Bookkeeping - Salon/Consulting - Contract to Hire

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records across a network of interconnected companies. This is a part-time position with flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week, depending on availability and business needs. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and experienced in bookkeeping for multiple business entities.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile financial records for multiple related businesses

Record daily financial transactions using accounting QuickBooks

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Process invoices, receipts, and payments

Reconcile bank and credit card statements

Assist with financial reporting and budgeting

Prepare financial statements for internal use

Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records

Collaborate with business owners or accounting team as needed

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and best practices

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping (1+ years preferred)

Proficiency with QuickBooks Required

Familiarity with managing books for multiple entities or interconnected businesses

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Reliable internet connection and access to a computer

Strong communication skills

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with payroll and/or tax preparation

Familiarity with cash flow management and forecasting

Experience working with small businesses or startups
