The team mainly looks at the design of the Paytm consumer app and the products in the Merchant Ecosystem comprising of the Paytm for Business (P4B) app, the EDC and POS Devices, the Golden Gate app (the FSE ecosystem), the Unified Merchants Portal (UMP), Net Banking Panel, Boss Panel.The Paytm Central Design Team is divided into different deltas and various products are aligned with each of the Deltas.The Paytm Official Design System (PODS) team and the UX Audit team is responsible for ensuring the consistency across the different products and adherence to good UX principles. The User Research Team looks at understanding user behavior and also the usage of the various products once it's live.About the Role:As a Motion/Interaction Designer at Paytm, you will report to the (Sr) Product Design Manager and collaborate with a diverse team of designers, product managers, and engineers. Your goal will be to create intuitive, user-friendly, and delightful design solutions that drive our product vision forward.Responsibilities/Requirements:•Design Execution: Own and drive design projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring that design solutions are functional and aesthetically pleasing.•User-Centric Approach: Conduct user research and usability testing, incorporating insights to improve design outcomes.•Prototyping & Wireframing: Develop prototypes and wireframes to communicate design•Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring designs to life, balancing user needs with business goals.•Feedback Integration: Engage in design reviews, accepting feedback, and continuously refining designs to enhance the user experience.•Mentorship & Learning: Share your knowledge with peers and stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies to inspire your work and the team.Expectations:•Technical proficiency with motion graphics systems (video editing is a plus)•Expertise in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro, Rive & Lottie Files.Proficiency in basic vector graphics and illustration. •Is adept with character animation (Basics in illustration to design characters, environments, and other visual assets)•Excellent understanding of video compression and optimization for web & AppKnowledge in 3D software is a plus, enhancing the capability to create more dynamicand immersive animations.•Strong understanding of animation principles, visual storytelling, and typography.•Must have - A portfolio showcasing diverse motion design work, including 2D/3D animation, App interactionsSuperpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role•Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in Interaction design with a strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and successful projects.•Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.Design•Expertise: Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles and proficiency with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.•Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to transform complex problems into simple, elegant design solutions.•Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.•Adaptability: Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, embracing feedback, and iterating on designs.Why join us?Join us at Paytm's central design team and be part of an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to shaping the future of digital finance in India.
