About the position Are you an experienced Mortgage Underwriter looking for flexibility and growth? We’re hiring skilled professionals to join a dynamic team focused on delivering accurate, compliant underwriting decisions. This is a remote opportunity with competitive pay and long-term potential. Responsibilities • Underwrite FHA, VA, and Conventional loans with precision and speed. • Review credit, income, assets, and full documentation for accuracy. • Collaborate with internal teams to finalize approvals and resolve conditions. • Manage volume efficiently: 2–3 initial files and 6–8 final approvals daily. • Ensure compliance with investor and agency standards (FHA, HUD, VA, IRRRL, SAR, TrumsID). Requirements • Experience: 3+ years of mortgage underwriting (FHA preferred). • Certifications: DE or SAR required. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with automated underwriting systems; Encompass and Excel preferred. • Knowledge: FHA, VA, and Conventional guidelines; CHUMS, LAPP, SAR designations a plus. • Detail-Oriented: Strong communication and documentation review skills.
