Mortgage Post-Closer
About the Role
Orchard is looking for a Mortgage Post-Closer who will be primarily responsible for assisting with the mortgage loan post closing processing. Reviewing loan documents for completeness and accuracy. Obtaining any missing information, working to prepare loan packages to ship to investors.
What You’ll Do Here:
• Expedite the clearing and curing of loan document deficiencies.
• Confirm, communicate, and clear salability issues on closed loans, for sale on the Secondary Market, in a timely manner.
• Track pipeline for funded loans ready for investor delivery.
• Balance purchase advice from investor
• Review, package and ship required loan documents to Investors for purchase review: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other Government Agencies and Private Investors.
• Perform daily reporting on status of shipped loans and update loan origination systems to ensure accurate daily reports.
• Prepare loans for shipping based on investor/agency requirements, Auditing the loans and completing checklist prior to shipment to investors.
• Perform daily MERS functions, registrations, transfers, and min reconciliations to identify errors and ensure timely corrections.
• Pulling reports and ensuring accurate information within the system to provide to our servicer as well as our team who records our equity advance documentation.
• Work with title to ensure collateral is sent out to the warehouse immediately after closing and provide tracking information to the warehouse.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• 1+ years of post-closing and shipping experience.
• 1+ years of Freddie Mac Loan Selling and Fannie Mae Loan Delivery experience.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA and USDA guidelines.
• Ability to maintain a knowledge of lending guidelines, investor programs, industry requirements, and industry changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced team oriented environment
