The Mortgage Loan Processor at First United is responsible for processing mortgage loans generated by bank employees. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, timely handling of loan files, and adherence to compliance guidelines. The position requires effective communication with borrowers and internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and closing.
Responsibilities
Ā Perform processing duties for assigned mortgage loans from various locations and Mortgage Consultants.

Ā Provide excellent customer service to borrowers and internal customers.

Ā Check reports and follow up on assigned loans to ensure timely handling.
,
Ā Review and evaluate documentation for completeness and communicate with customers regarding loan status and additional documentation needed.

Ā Work with loan officers, borrowers, and closers to provide updates and address any issues with loan files.
,
Ā Submit completed loan files for underwriting approval.
,
Ā Use conversation logs or memo sections in the loan entry program to accurately note progress of files.
,
Ā Understand and adhere to mandatory compliance guidelines and attend required training.
,
Ā Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
,
Ā Dress professionally and recommend possible methods to improve department operations.
Requirements
Ā High School diploma or GED required.

Ā Some secondary education preferred.
,
Ā Mortgage banking experience preferred.
,
Ā Proficient in Microsoft Office.
,
Ā Excellent phone etiquette.

Ā Ability to multi-task.
