Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Originator to join our dynamic Mortgage Brokerage in Southwest FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage loan process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities
• Develop new client relationships through proactive outreach and networking within the community.
• Assist clients in understanding various mortgage options, including loan programs and terms.
• Gather and analyze financial information to determine client eligibility, including credit analysis and income verification.
• Prepare and submit loan applications utilizing mortgage software. Currently we use PreApp 1003.
• Coordinate with underwriters, escrow officers, and loan processors to facilitate smooth loan approval processes.
• Ensure all loan documentation complies with federal and state regulations, including TILA and Fair Housing laws.
• Negotiate terms with clients and third-party providers to secure favorable loan conditions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing procedures, and banking regulations.
• Conduct basic math calculations for loan amounts, interest rates, income and payment schedules.
• Provide ongoing customer service support throughout the loan process, addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
Experience
• Proven experience in wholesale or retail mortgage loan origination.
• Familiarity with mortgage software and lender websites.
• Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, credit analysis, escrow processes, and contracts related to mortgage lending.
• Demonstrated knowledge of TILA regulations, fair housing laws, and compliance standards within the financial services industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with customer service expertise to build trust and foster long-term client relationships.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately.
• Prior experience working with banking institutions or in wholesale/retail mortgage loan origination is required.
