About the position
The Mortgage Loan Closer at American National Bank of Texas is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and reviewing closing documents for residential and residential construction loans. This role ensures the accuracy and completion of all documents in accordance with bank policies and applicable laws, while maintaining communication with all parties involved in the loan closing process.
Responsibilities
Ā Coordinate, prepare, and review closing documents for accuracy and completion.

Ā Calculate final closing costs and disburse funds according to mortgage documentation.

Ā Ensure timely and accurate closing of various residential and residential construction loan transactions.

Ā Prepare and review closing documents, including funding checks, prior to forwarding to the title company.
,
Ā Review title commitments and surveys for accuracy and notify interested parties of exceptions.
,
Ā Schedule closings and respond to inquiries regarding closing issues.
,
Ā Verify closing costs, requirements, and disclosures before issuing funding authorization.
,
Ā Develop and maintain a personal program for knowledge in mortgage loan matters and personal skill development.
Requirements
Ā 3 years of experience in residential mortgage lending support.
,
Ā Knowledge of real estate documents, title commitments, surveys, and appraisals.
,
Ā High school diploma or GED.
,
Ā Strong oral and written communication skills.
,
Ā Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
,
Ā Organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate closing schedules.
,
Ā Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word.
Nice-to-haves
Ā Preferred experience in Encompass (Banker edition).

Ā Preferred experience with eNotes, eVault, Simplefile.
