How You Will Contribute: We are looking for Software Engineers to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable software components for Ciena 's routing platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of routing protocols, hands-on software development experience, and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment. The Must Haves: A minimum of Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent degree with 5+ Year of relevant experience. Excellent analytical, problem solving and programming skills (C, C++, Python) In-depth understanding of Linux OS and open-source software development. Experience in designing and developing L2/L3 networking technologies. Familiarity with manageability frameworks such as Yang/XML. Proficiency in using the Atlassian tool suite, Git, and Jenkins. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Openness to continuous learning and self-improvement. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Assets : Good in-depth understanding and hands-on experience with one or more of the following protocols: MPLS(RSVP-TE, LDP)/ISIS , BGP and other dynamic routing protocols. Not ready to apply?
