This is a grant funded position and will be reevaluated on a year by year basis. Although the position is posted in the Front Range area, we would like this role to manage request across the state once program has proven concept.

GENERAL PURPOSE: The Mobile Programming Specialist delivers engaging, high-quality Girl Scout experiences directly into communities through the Mobile Programming initiative. This role is responsible for facilitating hands-on programs, building strong community relationships, supporting recruitment and retention efforts, and increasing access to Girl Scouts for girls and families who may face barriers to participation.
The specialist serves as both a program facilitator and community ambassador, helping expand Girl Scouts into schools, community centers, libraries, festivals, rural communities, and partner organizations across Colorado. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, flexibility, cultural responsiveness, and a passion for youth development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ***(Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job)General ResponsibilitiesFrequent local and regional travel throughout Colorado.
This person will work on the Community Programs Team.
Regular lifting, setup, and transportation of supplies and equipment.
Combination of indoor, outdoor, school-based, and community-based environments.
Evening and weekend programming required at times.

Program Delivery & Facilitation Facilitate high-quality mobile programs for girls in grades K–12 in a variety of community settings.
Adapt programming to meet the unique needs of diverse communities and learning environments.
Prepare, organize, transport, and maintain program supplies, curriculum materials, and mobile equipment.
Support safe and effective setup and breakdown of mobile programming spaces and vehicles
Deliver engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate programming.
Ensure programs align with organizational standards.

Community Engagement & Partnerships Collaborate with community partners and Girl Scout community to coordinate program logistics and ensure successful experiences.
Support family engagement and help connect participants to ongoing Girl Scout opportunities.
Encourage continued participation and retention through positive relationship-building and follow-up communication
Assist with membership conversion from community programming into troops, staff-led programs, or other participation pathways
Support program-led recruitment efforts through engaging experiences that introduce girls and families to Girl Scouts.

Operations & Administrative SupportMaintain accurate attendance, participation, inventory, mileage, and program data records.
Assist with scheduling, calendar coordination, and logistical planning for mobile programming events.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, transportation protocols, and organizational policies.

Support evaluation efforts by collecting participant feedback, stories, and impact data.
Assist with vehicle organization, cleanliness, and supply management for mobile programming units.

PRIMARY CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESIn accordance with the philosophy of Girl Scouts of Colorado, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Formal Training High school diploma or GED
Must to have current OR willingness to obtain: First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Mandated Reporter.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and ExperienceStrong facilitation and group management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build relationships with community stakeholders and families.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working independently and in fast-paced, community-based environments.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Colorado.
Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends based on program needs.

Additional RequirementsMust be able to pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
