About Us...
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for remote teaching positions to support students for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. This role specifically caters to special education teaching, requiring certification. This opportunity is ideal for educators eager to transition into virtual teaching environments. As part of our team, you'll engage with students through Zoom sessions, utilizing smartboards or students' Chromebooks. In this particular assignment, you'll work alongside a mental health clinician and behavioral therapists in a therapeutic classroom setting, providing academic instruction across four core subjects to a maximum of twelve students.
Position Details
Type: Fully Remote
Duration: Until end of 2023-2024 school year
Schedule: Daytime hours, 25-30 hours weekly
Responsibilities
Provide academic instruction tailored to middle school special education students.
Conduct virtual classes via Zoom, utilizing smartboards or Chromebooks.
Collaborate with mental health clinicians and behavioral therapists in the classroom.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) plans.
Maintain accurate documentation of lessons, student progress, and grading.
Ensure compliance with written documentation standards and assignment grading.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (excluding student teaching) at the relevant grade level.
Experience teaching in a virtual capacity.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
Proficiency in written documentation of lessons, student progress, and grading.
Ability to write and execute IEP plans effectively.
Availability for daytime teaching hours (7:30 - 2:30 EDT).
Reliable access to internet services and devices equipped with a camera and microphone.
Active certification in Special Education.
