Middle PHP (Magento) Developer (Contractor)

We are currently seeking a talented Middle PHP (Magento) Developer with 3+ years of commercial experience to join our team for an exciting e-commerce project.
Project Description
We are developing a Magento-based e-commerce platform for a retail and wholesale business with 4000+ SKUs
The platform will support both B2C and B2B customers, including different pricing rules and checkout flows
The project is being built from scratch based on provided UI/UX designs and will include integrations with payment and delivery services
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop Magento 2 storefront from scratch based on UI/UX designs;
Implement B2C and B2B functionality (pricing, customer groups, checkout logic);
Integrate third-party payment and delivery APIs;
Fix bugs, optimize performance, and improve existing features;
Collaborate with team to ensure stable and user-friendly implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of PHP 8+ and OOP principles;
3+ years of commercial experience with PHP development;
2+ years of hands-on experience with Magento 2;
Experience with Magento architecture, modules, themes, and extensions;
Strong understanding of MySQL and database design principles;
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations;
Experience with Elasticsearch and Docker;
Experience working with Git;
Understanding of design patterns, and SOLID principles;
Experience with debugging;
Intermediate English level (B1).
WOULD BE A PLUS
Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento Commerce);
Familiarity with Hyvä Theme or PWA solutions;
Experience with Redis or Varnish;
Experience with CI/CD pipelines;
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure;
Experience with code review.
