Mid-Level/Senior Motion Graphics Artist (Remote)
About the position
We are an award-winning B2B creative video agency specializing in medtech and pharma, seeking an experienced Motion Graphics Artist to collaborate with our team on clinician-focused and patient-centered video content.
This is a freelance/contract role for an artist with strong experience creating motion graphics within corporate brand systems, the ideal candidate will be someone who can elevate design while still respecting strict brand guidelines.
In this role, you will collaborate with our Producers and Editors to develop high-quality motion graphics for healthcare and medtech clients.
Projects frequently involve translating technical concepts, clinical data, and product information into clear and engaging visual storytelling.
You’ll work closely with producers, editors, and clients to explore visual approaches that are clear, elegant, and strategically aligned with client messaging. Many of our projects require balancing strict brand guidelines with creative problem solving, and we value artists who can push design forward while maintaining brand integrity.
Because we are a small, specialized team, your contributions will have a direct impact on the quality and clarity of our storytelling.
Responsibilities
• Designing and animating motion graphics sequences
• Building data visualizations
• Developing typography-driven animations
• Adapting graphics to align with client brand systems
Requirements
• 5–15 years of professional motion graphics experience, primarily working with corporate or B2B clients
• Strong design foundation, particularly in typography, layout, and information hierarchy
• Skilled at data visualization and infographic animation, translating complex information into clear, engaging visuals
• Understand how to work within strict brand guidelines while still creating something visually compelling and unique
• Comfortable collaborating with producers, editors, and clients to refine ideas and push the work further
• Excellent attention to detail and take pride in thoughtful design decisions
• Efficient communicator, able to articulate creative reasoning and respond thoughtfully to feedback
• Organized and dependable, able to manage deadlines and deliver polished work on schedule
• Intrinsically motivated and comfortable working remotely with a distributed creative team
• Strong motion design and animation skills with a portfolio demonstrating corporate client work
• Expertise in Adobe After Effects
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Exceptional typography and layout sensibilities
• Experience creating data visualization and infographic-driven animation
• Experience working within corporate brand guidelines
• Ability to take creative direction and iterate efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with editors and video production teams
• Adobe After Effects: 5+ years
• Motion Graphics / Animation: 5+ years
• Corporate or B2B Client Work: Strongly preferred
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Cinema 4D or other 3D tools
• Experience working on healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device projects
• Experience editing content, especially inside of Avid Media Composer
