Job description: Job Description:NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Service Desk Specialist to support a Federal Agency.This role is located 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX. May require occasional travel. Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.Key Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues for users via phone, email, or chat.
Ensure proper escalation of unresolved issues and follow up with users to verify satisfaction.
Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, providing escalation support for automation hardware, software, systems, and peripherals, both remotely and on-site.
Assist with call overflow during peak periods, ensuring support requests are logged in the ticketing system per service level agreements.
Provide on-site maintenance for government-owned equipment, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, and manage LAN-connected device repairs and modifications.
Configure and troubleshoot peripherals (printers, monitors, scanners), adjust BIOS/CMOS settings, install drivers, and document all activities in the ticketing system.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Operating Systems, office software, and network protocols (TCP/IP, wireless).
Provide clear and concise documentation for all technical support activities for internal review and auditing purposes.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications and Certifications
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
IAT II certification compliant with DoD 8570.01-M requirements. (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+ **)
CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certificate.
Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX. May require occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
Professional-level certifications in supported technologies.
Experience working within Federal or DoD systems and environments.
