Microsoft Intune Administrator
Job Summary:
The Microsoft Intune Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft Intune, ensuring secure and efficient configuration, deployment, and management of mobile devices, applications, and security policies. This role involves implementing mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) strategies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring... compliance with security and organizational standards. The Intune Administrator collaborates closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure that corporate devices and applications are effectively managed and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
Intune Configuration and Deployment:
Configure and deploy mobile device applications and policies using Microsoft Intune.
Manage mobile device lifecycles, including onboarding, configuration, monitoring, and decommissioning.
Oversee the setup and management of Windows Autopilot for device provisioning and deployment.
Security and Compliance Management:
Implement and manage security policies, including device encryption, compliance policies, and Entra-ID conditional access.
Ensure that mobile devices meet organizational security and compliance standards.
Monitor device health and enforce security requirements to protect corporate data.
Device Management and Support:
Provide end-user support for mobile devices and applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Setup privilege account management to allow users to self-service the installation of applications without local admin of their workstations
Manage device enrollments, profile configurations, and policy enforcement across multiple platforms (Windows, MAC, Android, iOS).
Monitor and resolve issues related to device compliance, policy deployment, and application distribution.
Application Management:
Deploy and manage applications using Intune, including line-of-business (LOB) apps and Microsoft 365 apps.
Configure app protection policies for data security and user access controls.
Manage app updates, patches, and application lifecycles within the Intune platform.
Integration and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Endpoint Manager, and other Microsoft services.
Work with security teams to implement mobile threat defense solutions and secure devices and application environments.
Assist in the integration of Microsoft Intune with other enterprise mobility solutions.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor device and application status using Intune dashboards and reporting tools.
Generate reports on device compliance, app deployment, and policy enforcement for management and audits.
Analyze logs and usage data to identify trends, optimize configurations, and troubleshoot performance issues.
Automation and Scripting:
Leverage PowerShell and automation tools to streamline Intune tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Setup company portals for self-service device and app installations
Develop and maintain scripts for automating device management, compliance checks, and reporting processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Expertise in managing Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager for mobile device and application management.
Strong knowledge of Windows, iOS, and Android device management through Intune.
Extensive experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Conditional Access, and Azure AD Join.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and configuration tasks.
Knowledge of security practices, encryption protocols, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Analytical Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot complex mobile device issues and resolve device compliance and security concerns.
Analytical skills for monitoring device health, security posture, and operational efficiency.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills for collaborating with IT teams, management, and end-users.
Ability to create user-friendly documentation and conduct training for employees on device management best practices.
Experience:
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Intune
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.
Experience with Windows Autopilot and device provisioning (preferred).
Experience managing application deployment and policy management across diverse mobile environments.
Education:
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or other relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure, Intune) are desirable.
Salary Range: $50,000 $60,000
