We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk. Key Responsibilities
• Data Management: Accurately enter alphabetic and numeric data into databases or software programs using a keyboard or optical scanner. This may include uploading data from external sources and transcribing audio or video content.
• Document Handling: Review and interpret source documents, such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and input the necessary information into designated data fields.
• Data Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of demographic, financial, and customer data before entry. Identify discrepancies and correct data entry errors by cross-referencing source documents.
• Error Reporting: Detect and report any data discrepancies to supervisors and suggest corrective measures as needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate operational records, logs of activities, and completed work.
• Confidentiality: Uphold data integrity and confidentiality by adhering to organizational procedures and standards.
• Prioritization: Establish data entry priorities by following organizational guidelines or collaborating with team leadership.
• Data Validation: Verify and update customer and account information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data. Purge files to eliminate duplicate entries.
• Data Security: Secure data by performing regular database backups and following data protection protocols.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data collection processes, including designing new forms or templates for more efficient data entry.
• Team Collaboration: Operate office equipment as needed and support the team by contributing to various tasks related to data management.

Qualifications
• Prior experience in data entry, clerical work, or an office setting is required.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Experience with data-entry software or cloud storage systems is a plus.
