Materials Science Expert

$85ā$93/hour

Commitment:
20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance in materials science.
ā¢ Develop original problem sets using phase diagrams, micrographs, and stress-strain curves.
ā¢ Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure task quality.
ā¢ Annotate tasks with detailed insights to improve AI model outputs.
ā¢ Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
Must-Have
ā¢ PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field; MS with 3+ years experience; or BS with 5+ years experience.
ā¢ Working fluency in at least two of: phase equilibria, mechanical behavior, crystallography, polymers, or characterization (XRD, SEM, TEM).
ā¢ Comfortable interpreting micrographs, diffraction patterns, and property charts.
Preferred
ā¢ Publication record or industry R&D track.
