Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) – 100% Remote, Flexible Hours

TD Psychotherapy is a private practice that provides psychotherapy for adults. We are Licensed Mental Health Counselors, therefore, we are unable to accept MFT's or social workers. We accept out of pocket as well as many in-network insurances. The practice is telehealth and the clinician must be located and working within New York State. We are seeking a part/full time (10+ hours weekly preferable) Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors (MHC-LP) that have already graduated to provide mental health counseling to a diversified patient population using evidence-based therapy approaches. EMDR trained is a plus! BENEFITS: • Interested in working as a private practice, without the insurance and administrative hassle. • Provide you with referrals to build your case load aligned to your professional goals • Insurance and billing services provided • Paid bi-weekly regardless of whether insurance has paid • Flexible scheduling and work 100% remotely (in the state of New York) • Supervision provided • Assistance with filing for your limited permit • Minimal administrative work (aside from client documentation) RESPONSIBILITIES: • Complete progress notes and updated calendar within 24 hours of time of service. • Provide initial intake, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes. • Maintain client’s charts, keep complete and correct documentation and follow all Hipaa guidelines. • Skilled in working with a variety of cultures • Work independently and implementing time management strategies • Case management including care coordination, collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care. • Participate weekly in mandatory supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduate of a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or similar • Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance needed upon hire • Ability to work independently as well as communicate emergency situations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Familiarity with various theoretical approaches. • *Please note: • Please provide your email AND phone number! • We do not offer benefits at this time. • We are only able to supervise Mental Health Counselor, not MFT's, MSW's or PhD's.
