This is a full-time position with a rapidly growing company that will be loaded with challenges, excitement, and opportunity. You are excited about our mission and committed to helping people through a sometimes difficult system. Ultimately, you will ensure our members receive their medications in a timely fashion.This position is remote but quarterly in-person staff meetings are expected. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, or Connecticut.What you will do:Delivering quality customer service to members, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the appropriate parties where necessary including inbound/outbound calls, text, and emailCoordinate with members, Member Service Associates, medical providers, insurance companies, and pharmacy staff to ensure accurate prescriptionsAbility to troubleshoot complex issues with pharmacies and insurance companies to ensure medication is available when neededReview and interpret medication history data from all available sources, including the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)Processing bulk electronic prescriptions and evaluating in the internal system for completeness and accuracyRecording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulationsDetermine the need for Prior Authorizations and process as requiredTroubleshoot these issues when necessaryYou are a good fit if you have:Proven work experience in a pharmacy, medical office, or hospital or similar roleA pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) / licensed vocational nurse (LVN) licenseFamiliarity with the medication prescribing life cycleInbound call experience requiredIt will also be great if you have:Excellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailThe ability to use a computer and navigate multiple systems simultaneouslyNecessary math skills for calculating complex medication quantities and durationsExtensive customer service experience; comfortability with speaking over the phone, texting, and emailingExperience working in a fast-paced work environment, remote work a plusMust be dependableAbility to work effectively in a close-knit team and independentlyWork location requirements:BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.When working from home, the requirements include:Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download abilityAbility to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work locationMust have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
