Medical VA (Ops Assistant)
We are seeking a MedVA (Operations Assistant) to oversee the overall operational health of the client’s clinic. This role combines medical knowledge, administrative precision, and leadership skills to ensure smooth workflows, accurate documentation, and proactive team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs): Ensure accuracy in billing and insurance documentation
• SOAP Notes: Monitor compliance and accuracy, ensuring timely and complete documentation.
• Appointments: Track missed and canceled appointments
• Reports: Generate and distribute timely reports on outstanding balances and other operational metrics with insights and recommendations
• Team Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication across staff and providers
Required Soft Skills
• Proactivity: Anticipate scheduling conflicts, outstanding balance, and patient needs before they escalate.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure completion and accuracy in SOAP notes, EOB reviews, and financial reports.
• Executive Presence: Communicate with confidence and professionalism when coordinating with providers and team members.
• Anticipating Needs: Identify potential gaps in clinic operations and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
• Critical Thinking: Analyze appointment trends, billing issues, and workflow challenges to recommend actionable improvements.
Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD‑10 codes.
• Proven leadership experience
• MAC OS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $6.00 - $6.01 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
