Medical Transcriptionist - Edgewater, NJ
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide medical transcription services directly to providers.
• Transcribe dictated information through the use of word processing to produce medical and clinical documents.
• Document SOAP notes and enter diagnoses, ICD 10's, prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, and imaging studies for provider to sign.
• Input billing, E&M code, and CPT codes for obesity, smoking, depression, and alcohol/drug use.
• Handle all computer responsibilities incurred by the provider, including ancillary software.
• Prompt providers with questions appropriately regarding plan of care and orders.
• Assist provider in any other non-medical manners.
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 1+ years experience as a medical transcriptionist
• Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:30pm EST, Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime.
