We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Medical Transcriptionist to transcribe voice recordings from healthcare professionals into accurate, properly formatted medical documentation. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely and precise medical records while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare providers into written reports
ā¢ Ensure completeness, accuracy, and clarity of all transcribed documents
ā¢ Edit and review reports for grammar, medical terminology, and consistency
ā¢ Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal confidentiality policies
ā¢ Collaborate with medical professionals to clarify content when needed
ā¢ Upload finalized transcriptions to electronic health record systems
Requirements
ā¢ At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or completion of a transcription training program
ā¢ Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation
ā¢ Excellent English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
ā¢ High typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) with accuracy
ā¢ Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently from home
ā¢ Commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining patient confidentiality
Bonus Points
ā¢ Knowledge of EHR systems and transcription software
ā¢ Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT or RMT)
