Medical Transcriptionist

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing pathology medical reports and documents from audio recordings made by healthcare professionals. Your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely documentation that supports patient care and medical records. Responsibilities • Transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare providers into written format with high accuracy. • Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to medical standards. • Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret dictations. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear dictations or terminologies. • Organize and manage electronic files of transcribed documents for easy retrieval. Skills • Proficient typing skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. • Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred. • Strong listening skills to accurately transcribe audio recordings. • Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines. • Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
