Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented and dependable medical scribe with experience supporting healthcare providers through accurate documentation, chart auditing, and administrative coordination. You are comfortable working independently in a remote environment, highly organized, and committed to professionalism, confidentiality, and efficiency. You understand the importance of timely and accurate medical documentation, provider support, and patient coordination. You take pride in helping providers operate efficiently while ensuring documentation quality and continuity of care. You are motivated by accountability, consistency, and contributing to a mission-driven healthcare organization

What You’ll Do

You will support providers and clinical operations remotely by assisting with documentation accuracy, administrative coordination, and workflow efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

Medical Scribing & Documentation Support:Assisting providers with accurate chart documentation, updating records within the EMR system, and ensuring charts are completed in a timely manner
• Chart Auditing & Quality Review: Reviewing provider charts for completeness, identifying missing documentation, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with chart corrections as directed
• Patient Scheduling & Coordination: Assisting with patient rescheduling, appointment coordination, and communication related to provider schedule changes
• Prior Authorization Support: Completing and submitting prior authorization requests, gathering supporting documentation, and coordinating follow-up with pharmacies and insurance providers
• Provider Administrative Support: Assisting providers with drafting and formatting letters, clinical documentation requests, and administrative paperwork
• Form Preparation & Pre-Population: Preparing and pre-populating patient forms, disability paperwork, accommodation forms, and other provider-related documents for review and completion
• Reporting & Workflow Support: Assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks while supporting operational workflows and provider-related administrative needs
• Compliance & Documentation Integrity: Maintaining accurate records, protecting patient confidentiality, and following all applicable healthcare and data privacy standards

Other Duties as Assigned

What You’ll Bring

Prior experience as a medical scribe, virtual medical assistant, or healthcare administrative support professional
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare workflows, and clinical documentation standards
• Experience auditing charts, assisting providers with documentation, or supporting prior authorizations preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with accountability for deadlines and quality
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems or healthcare software preferred
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical handling of patient information
• Strong work ethic with reliability, consistency, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and provider support
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or clinical research preferred but not required
